I just can't figure you out! . . . I guess it's kinda chance, right? That we like each other and stuff. That's why I didn't like it when you were a kid. You didn't remember me! I could try and make friends with you again, but would it really work out that way? I don't even really get why you like me still. I think--you just like me because you do--but what if we had to start over, what then?
So if we had to start over, like we'd never met? That's hard to say. It's possible this could happen again, and possible it might not, but--I'd like to think we'd still be friends, even if we were never like this, in another life.
Yeah . . . I bet he'd freak out, some older guy hanging around all the time counting off his birthdays . . . I didn't even know what to say to him! I never told him I'm a Noah. Probably he would've hated me if he knew.
Yeah, but I'd tell him. [shrugs] It's no use lying about it! That's why I like you . . . what if I'd lied to you about it or something and you still didn't know? I'd know you didn't actually love me because you wouldn't actually know me. Like, I mean. If I told you later what it means to be a Noah, things would just get weird! I don't tell people so much anymore because I got sick of explaining it ten fucking times every day. But then I realize later that they don't know what I am.
I can't claim to be any sort of expert, especially not in this, but ... I don't think it's unreasonable, to not know everything about someone before you enter a relationship with them--romantically or otherwise. You don't act differently just because they don't know what you are, right?
Nah, I'm not trying to fool them! I just forget to mention it! That chick confessed to me today, and she doesn't even know she confessed to one of God's chosen children. Isn't that weird?
I suppose she likes what she's seen of you. Though from what you've said about her, I don't know if she pays too much attention before she makes judgements on whether she likes someone or not.

If that happened forever, like you turned into a kid and never turned back . . . uh . . . I'd . . .

You would--?

. . . I'd wait until you got old enough and try for you again.

... you would, really?
