In terms of progression, it goes red --> blue --> yellow --> pink, with 1-5 dots signifying how close you are to moving to the next level. The base colour varies depending on the character. IT'S SUBJECTIVE and pretty. And if you get anything in the pink range, chances are, they either love you madly, consider you an incredibly important nakama, or want in your pants. Or all of the above!
BASELINES, for added info:
Devit baselines at mid/high red. If you are LOW RED then he actively dislikes you, but if you're like, red +4 or so he just has no opinion. If you're interesting to talk to you move up to blue, yellow is actually liking you, pink is I LOVE YOU MAN.
Cocoa is pretty much exactly like Devit, just very slightly higher in her scores. Slightly. Both of them will rank humans lower GENERALLY.
Tomo baselines at mid-blue to low yellow, depending on first impressions. The thing about Tomo is that her baseline is high, but it's also very difficult to move out of it. You have to REALLY PISS HER OFF to get knocked down to red, and you have to be TOTALLY AWESOME to get bumped up to high yellow or pink. Most of the time, Tomo's opinions on people will just sort of stick around the blue/yellow divide unless they bond hardcore or you seriously mess with her mind.
